The "Suite Surprise" at InterContinental Singapore is back!
Introduction
First launched in September 2020 but briefly discontinued in November and December, the "Suite Surprise" deal is making its return in January 2021. At a fixed price of $388 ($488 on peak nights), guests will be assigned a mystery suite that will only be revealed at the time of check in. This mystery suite can either be a junior suite, heritage suite, premier suite, executive suite, royal suite, ambassador suite or Presidential suite.
Inclusions and Terms & Conditions
Apart from the suite, guests who book this package will be entitled access to Club InterContinental which includes breakfast, afternoon tea set and evening cocktails & canapés. Guests will also enjoy 20% F&B in-house dining discounts at Ash & Elm, Man Fu Yuan and Lobby lounge. One thing to note is that this rate is non-refundable nor transferrable and is only valid for stays between 2 January 2021 and 31 March 2021. Also, this offer cannot be used in conjunction with other promotions and IHG Rewards Club.

Chances of Scoring a Huge Suite?
Many people including us were sceptical when we first heard of the deal. In October 2020, we had booked this package with low expectations. We were contented even if we got the lowest room category (Junior suite) because with Club InterContinental, it would still be of great value. Observing social media pages, we also found out that InterContinental Singapore had been rather generous in giving out their biggest suites (Royal and Ambassador suites) to guests who booked this rate.

Concluding remarks: Contemplating if the "Suite Surprise" package was worth it wasn't very difficult for us. Paying $388 nett for a confirmed suite room with Club InterContinental access offering complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea as well as evening cocktails and canapés was really great value. Getting a larger suite would be a nice bonus to have and to be honest, we enjoyed the suspense of not knowing our suite up till the moment we stood in front of the room door! We would thus certainly recommend this package.
